Pillars of Consciousness Meet Pillars of Fashion

Pillars of Cosnciousness and FashionA new article by the Daily Mail, presents actor Jaden Smith and his sister Willow, the children of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Smith, as teenage style icons. Jaden is shown in multiple photos with a book by Osho under his arm.

“Jaden carried with him a copy of the book The Pillars of Consciousness by mystic and spiritual leader Osho. The book explores the four major streams of Eastern wisdom – Buddha, Zen, Tao and Tantra. Osho is renowned not only for his wisdom, but his ability to bring a deeper understanding of complex philosophical concepts using humor and the art of storytelling. By reading the book Osho promises that it will ‘pave the way for readers to be as Buddha said, a light unto yourself’. Why Jaden was bringing the enlightening book to dinner with him still remains a mystery…”            – Daily Mail

OSHO: Mindfulness in the Modern World

Mindfulness in the Modern WorldHow Do I Make Meditation Part of Everyday Life?

When the mind disappears and thoughts disappear, you become mindful. What is mindfulness? It is awareness. It is perfect awareness.

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, BAM!Indie BoundKindle, Nook, iBook, Kobo

In Mindfulness in the Modern World, Osho helps us explore both the inner and the outer obstacles that prevent us from bringing more awareness to all our daily activities. He emphasizes that while techniques can be useful in pointing the way, in themselves they are not meditation. Rather, meditation – or mindfulness – is ultimately a state of being in which we are capable of both action and stillness, work and play, and able to be fully present to each moment of life as it comes. Osho’s insights into the nature of the modern mind, with its tendency to judge and compare, provides a helpful entry point for longtime meditators as well as beginners. Mindfulness in the Modern World covers a wide range of topics, including five experiential techniques that will help you bring awareness to your everyday life.

OSHO: It’s All About Change

The Greatest Challenge to Create a Golden Future for Humanity             Paperback: 192 pages, Publisher: Osho Media International, Language: English,                                      ISBN-13: 978-1938755934; 978-0880504379                                                                            Paperback: AmazonBarnes & Noble,  BAM!Book DepositoryOther Sources,  eBooks: Kindle, Nook, iBook, Kobo, Other

“We have  to teach the new generation not to live the same way we have AllAboutChange-OSHOlived.” – Osho.  Everyone, regardless of nationality, religion, or political beliefs, has a sense of the current crisis of planet Earth. The environmental movement has support around the globe, while politicians — lagging behind reality — are still fighting over whether global warming exists. Decision makers in government and in the private sector are dealing with the symptoms of this crisis, rather than addressing the underlying causes in a positive and constructive way.

Osho points out that the current world crisis is a crisis of consciousness. Until there is a radical change in human consciousness, the interrelated social, political, economic, and ecological crises we face will continue. Osho’s radical vision of change addresses how we can turn the present crisis into an opportunity, and what we must do in order to steer our course toward a “golden future” for all humankind and away from what he calls a “global suicide.”

Topics addressed in the book include the crisis of human values, the ecological crisis, the population challenge, the bankruptcy of the very concept of nations and religions, and the paths toward a creative science, meaningful education, and universal human rights.

Jesus: Son of God or Mystic? / Osho

Jesus: Son of God or Mystic?

What if Jesus were not a supernatural being conceived by a virgin, but a real human being who had experienced the awakening of consciousness known as “enlightenment” in the East? This extraordinary line-by-line commentary on some of the best-known New Testament Gospels from Matthew and John tests the hypothesis that Jesus was a mystic, not a miracle worker of supernatural origin. Osho convincingly makes the case that the stories of Jesus’ life were never meant to be a factual record of history, but rather are teaching parables designed to provide ongoing spiritual guidance for generations to come. I Say Unto You introduces a dynamic, compassionate, intelligent, loving Jesus, who speaks in a plain and simple way that everyone can understand. Osho looks with a crystal-clear perception at Jesus’ work, revealing the parables and miracles as metaphors of the inner world. He gives insight into Jesus’ own search, and his journeys to the ancient mystery schools of Egypt, Kashmir and Tibet that transformed him into one of the most evolved masters of the paths of love and meditation. His insights are so relevant for today’s societies where the sharp functioning of the mind is more valued than the intelligence of the heart.

Our feelings play a profound role in how we feel about ourselves, and they can even affect our physical health. Osho offers a third alternative: to understand the roots of our emotions and develop the knack of watching them and learning from them as they arise, rather than being “taken over” by them. Eventually we find that even the most challenging and difficult situations no longer have the power to provoke us and cause us pain. OSHO: The Book of Children

The Book of Children

Supporting the Freedom and Intelligence of a New Generation

Amazon  Kindle  Barnes&Noble Nook BAM!  BookDepository  iTunes  Kobo

Children have an authentic freedom. They are joyful, playful, and naturally creative. But by the time they grow up, most children have been sacrificed to the gods of “productivity” and good behavior to the extent that only nostalgia for childhood remains. Osho says, “It is the child’s experience that haunts intelligent people their whole life. They want it again—the same innocence, the same wonder, the same beauty.” And while each adult generation may vow, with the best of intentions, not to repeat the mistakes of the past, they inevitably find themselves imposing their own inherited limitations on new generations to come.

This book calls for a “children’s liberation movement” to break through old patterns and create opportunities for an entirely new way of relating as human beings. It is a guide for grown-ups to become aware of their own conditioning as they relate to the children in their lives. And, with that awareness, to learn when to nurture and protect and when to get out of the way, so that children can flower into their highest potential and greatest capacity for joy.

OSHO: Astrology: Superstition, Blind Faith or a Door to the Essential?

Astrology: Superstition, Blind Faith or a Door to the Essential?  OSHO Media International expanded its ‘OSHO Singles‘ mini eBook series with  an interesting new title. Kindle – NookKoboiBook

In this fascinating volume, Osho reclaims astrology from the pop psychologists and “fortune tellers” and shares the deep insights that first brought this unique science of the stars into being. From ancient India to the lost civilization of Sumer, from Pythagoras to Paracelsus to Piccardi, we discover that for thousands of years there has been a thread of awareness of how all things in the universe are interconnected – an awareness that modern physics is still struggling to define in scientific terms today. As Osho says: The universe is a living body, an organic unity. In it, nothing is isolated, all is connected. Whatever is far away is connected to that which is near; nothing is separate. So no one should remain in the fallacy that he is an island: isolated, separate, aloof. Everything is connected to the whole, and everything is all the time affecting others and being affected by others. Astrology aficionados and skeptics alike will find something in this small volume to provoke a new way of looking at what really “makes the world go round.”
