EMOTIONS – Freedom from Anger, Jealousy & Fear

EMOTIONS: Freedom from Anger, Jealousy & Fear

OSHO eBooks below $5.00: in multiple eBook formatsKindle,  Kindle (with video),  Nook,   iBook,  Kobo

Strong emotions that we don’t know how to handle effectively lie at the core of so many difficulties in the life of the individual. They can affect our relationships with loved ones, and how we function in our work. They play a profound role in how we feel about ourselves, and can even affect our physical health. And we are too often trapped in the dilemma of “expression” versus “repression.” Expressing our emotions can often hurt others, but by repressing them – even in the benevolent guise of “self-control” – we risk hurting ourselves. Osho offers a third alternative, which is to understand the roots of our emotions and to develop the knack of watching them and learning from them as they arise, rather than being “taken over” by them. Eventually we find that even the most challenging and difficult situations no longer have the power to provoke us and cause us pain.

OSHO, A CONTRIBUTION TO TIMES OF INDIA

With a circulation of over 3.14 million copies (2008), The Times of India is the largest amongst all English-language newspapers in the world. Osho, who as we know ended his visit to Planet Earth in January 1990, is 22 years later a regular contributing author to this publication. It is probably a very rare phenomenon that newspaper articles from the beyond hit the Zeitgeist so precisely, providing valuable insights on a regular   basis. Osho reaches millions of people – hearts and minds – through a series of regular articles in the ‘Life & Style ‘ section of the paper, arranged in collaboration between Osho International Foundation and The Times of India.  Links to a selection of articles by Osho provided below.  See also:  OSHO: A Contemporary Mystic and the Media (video)

OSHO Radio Station – 24/7 OSHO Talks (English)

OSHO Radio English Station

OSHO International announced the launch of its 24/7 English language radio station – Radio.OSHO.com – broadcasting talks by Osho in English language. ‘OSHO Talks – Silence Shared in Words’ allows worldwide and around the clock access to the recorded meditation talks by the contemporary mystic Osho.

The idea to this channel originates with Osho when during his so-called “World Tour” twentyone countries denied Osho access and the international media (remember the internet and 24-hour-news-channels did not exist at the time) did not allow Osho much access to the public.

“…We will need our own media, our own agencies, our own publications to inform you.…We may need our own radio station somewhere, …because these people are going to be cutting off all sources, so that I cannot reach the public.”

[Osho, Light on the Path, #28]

With its launch the channel makes Osho’s prediction come true that “I can even speak after my death”

“I have not said anything to you, although I have been speaking for thirty-five years continuously. And as long as I live – or even a few minutes afterwards – I am going to speak. If I see the moment when there is still an opportunity for someone to be involved in the universal madness, I can even speak after my death, it doesn’t matter. … One thing is certain: whether I live or I die, my every gesture, my every word has a single purpose – to help you get rid of knowledge, to help you to become again a small child with eyes of wonder and a heart which cannot believe! – wildflowers, clouds in the sky, the sun rising and all the colors that the rising sun spreads over the horizon! This amazement is the authentic religious element, and if you can keep this amazement fresh without being covered by any experience and dust, you have attained that which was your birthright – what I have called enlightenment.

[Osho, Om Mani Padme Hum #19]

The OSHO Radio station draws from the large digital archive of recordings of OSHO Talks created over the years in high quality.  The channel program consists of complete series of OSHO Talks– as spoken by Osho.  These talks can also be downloaded from www.osho.com/audio

Steve Jobs, Osho, Computers and the iPad

“Holding the internet in your hands…YouTube in high definition now. ….using this thing is  remarkable. You see how fast this is – I can make it bigger. I can just touch it and go into that story. Here is the iBook store. You can discover books – all the books on the book store. It is just so simple.” Steve Jobs, 2010 – Macworld

“Sooner or later man will devise small computers which you can carry in your pockets. They will carry all the knowledge of all the libraries in the world. It will not be necessary to teach it to you: you can simply push a button and the computer can supply you the knowledge.“  Osho, 1975 – Journey to the Heart

“A small computer can contain all the libraries of the world and is always at your service: just push a button and whatsoever you want to know the computer will tell you.” Osho, 1979 – The Dhammapada

OSHO: Rebellion, Revolution, Religiousness

Lady Gaga's favorite Osho book.

“Rebellion is individual action; it has nothing to do with the crowd. Rebellion has nothing to do with politics, power, violence. Rebellion has something to do with changing your consciousness, your silence, your being. It is a spiritual metamorphosis. And each individual passing through a rebellion is not fighting with anybody else, but is fighting only with his own darkness. Swords are not needed, bombs are not needed; what is needed is more alertness, more meditativeness, more love, more prayerfulness, more gratitude. Surrounded by all these qualities you are born anew.” — Osho

“Certainly, my rebellion is based on yes yes to existence, yes to nature, yes to yourself. Whatever the religions may be saying and whatever the ancient traditions may be saying, they are all saying no no to yourself, no to nature, no to existence; they are life-negative.

“Oh yes Osho! I read a lot of Osho’s books and I believe “Rebellion“ was my favorite so far.  – Lady Gaga, singer and pop icon. See her statement here.

“My rebellion is life-affirmative. I want you to dance and sing and love and live as intensely and as totally as possible. In this total affirmation of life, in this absolute yes to nature, we can bring a totally new earth and a totally new humanity into being.” — Osho

Review: “Rebellion, Revolution and Religiousness is a book about spiritual rebellion which arises out of meditation, awareness and freedom, and from truly being yourself. It is not a rebellion against someone or something outside of yourself, but rather against all that is false within you. It is an inner rebellion, or the rebellion of the enlightened. All enlightened Masters, from the Buddha to Osho, were rebels to the core, and their rebellion became their religion.” —David Cherubim, author for New Falcon Publications

YouTube Preview ImageRebellion, creativity and equality are important issues for American singer, song writer and pop icon Lady Gaga, who arrived for her first concert in India . She spoke in a press conference about her love for books by Osho. Asked about a quote about creativity from the book “Creativity” by Osho sent by Gaga in August via her Twitter account to her 15 millions followers, the 25 year old singer from New York responded: “Oh yes Osho! I read a lot of Osho’s books and I believe “Rebellion”was my favorite so far. I have been reading a lot about rebellion and how creativity is the greatest form of rebellion in life. It’s important to stand up for what you believe in and to fight for equality. Equality is one of the most important things in my life — social, political, economic equality — these are all things I fight for in my country as a citizen. So I read Osho because not only do I love his work and what he writes about, but I guess I am kind of an Indian hippie!”                                                                                        [See also OSHO – Creativity is the Greatest Rebellion in Existence]

OSHO: If You Love this Planet, Absolute Birth Control is Needed

YouTube Preview Image

We Are 7 Billion People — Now What?

While we read everyday devastating news about climate change, water shortages, wars and famine, very rarely the finger is put on the underlying wound of overpopulation. Religious conditioning, political ideologies and nationalism have captured this issue. In this excerpt of one of Osho’ daily talks he sums up the underlying issue in his unique way and lays out a vision of  a very different  future of humanity on this planet. “Absolute birth control is needed at least for two decades. Absolute, I say!”
